New Wood Look Tiles We Love
The natural variation of tonal depth found in wood flooring is coming to life in tile. Whether rustic or classic, tile manufacturers are finding more and more ways to bring the look of wood to places normally not suited for installation. Bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms, high traffic areas – all can now have the beauty of wood with the ease of care and durability of tile. Among the wide variety of options we have available, here are some of the newest looks our showroom designers have selected as some of their favorites.
The manufacturer describes this series as the "genuine look of reclaimed wood." These 6"x24" planks are available in 4 colors.
The wood options in this series offer a mix of modern and traditional with a touch of the exotic. Burnt, oxidized and hand-drawn brushstrokes all feature as the designer's intended effects. Along with the 4 color options available, this series also offers the option of square-edge or chevron planks for easily achieving a herringbone pattern without extra cuts. Planks are 8" x 40."
This very unique styling brings together wood and stone into one beautifully unique look. Planks are 8"x40" and additional sizes and mosaics are also available. Three color options are offered in this series.
With 5 color options, the Noon series offers a spectrum of colorful nuance sure to please nearly every palette. The manufacturer indicates the inspiration for this series as the imperfect, raw look of unfinished wood planks. As with the BWILD series, this collection is also available in a square or chevron plank. These planks are 8"x48" with a 6"x24" square cut option also available.
The shade and texture variety of this series rates as high and there are up to 36 unique faces. This product is a ceramic Durabody construction so performance is similar to porcelain without the cost of porcelain. Planks are 7"x36" and all 4 color options available are shown below.
The colors in this series provide dull, dusty shades that move from lighter to darker and have the appearance and patina of time-worn floors. The very pleasing high-low shade variation is achieved without the need to mix series colors. Thin planks size is 3.5"x36" and coordinating herringbone mosaic is also available.
This high density ceramic performs like a porcelain and offers up to 36 different unique faces. Available in 3 colors, these planks are 7"x36" with color variations less dramatic than some we've highlighted here, allowing the flooring to make a statement without overshadowing other design elements in the room.
The 4"x28" planks of this series offer the thin plank look for an aged, timeless style. Four color options are available.
This series offers a more traditional, classic appearance with 4 color options in an 8"x48" plank.

The Timeless Appeal of Ledge Stone
Examples of dry stack stone construction dating as far back as the Neolithic age have been found. Some of the world's most beautiful, historic and enduring structures have been built using this method and today's modern-day ledge stone, or stack stone, pays homage to its continuing appeal. The use of ledge stone can be found in designs ranging from rustic to sleekly contemporary. While manufactured stone versions are available, the beauty of natural stone is undeniable. There's something untamed, yet elegant and modern, about a well-designed use of natural ledge stone. Quartzite, slate, travertine and marble are just some of the natural stones available in our sourced line of ledge stones.
HONED VS. SPLIT FACE
Some of our ledge stone options, as you will see below, are available in either a honed finish or a split face finish. What's the difference? It can be hard to tell in images taken from the front of the stone so we've made a composite image showing the two options side-by-side and taken on an angle.
A honed finish offers a smooth surface and the look is more refined. Many of the surface pits and imperfections have been removed through the honing process. Split face is a rougher texture with more variation in the face height. More of the natural surface imperfections are present with split face as well.
The ledge stones shown are part of our in-stock distribution center network program. Additional ledge stone styles and colors beyond what is shown here are available at each Premier Tile Corporation showroom location. Plan your visit today!
